Two Bomb Blasts Hit Maiduguri, Hours After Boko Haram Attack On Governor’s Convoy

There have been at least two bomb blasts within Maiduguri, capital of Borno state, within a space of 10 minutes.

The first blast occurred around Gunge, a residential area, around 6pm, according to TheCable, quoting a resident.

According to a security source, the other blast happened around a place where cars are sold in the state capital.

The incident happened 24 hours after the convoy of Babagana Zulum, the governor of the state was attacked in Kukawa local government area of the state.

Although, It is unclear  if Boko Haram insurgents are behind the attacks, the group has been responsive for series of deadly attacks in the state-dubbed the epicenter of the decade-old insurgency.
