President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria ( PENGASSAN), Francis Olabode has died.
Comrade Olabode was said to have died after a brief illness in Port Harcourt.
He was first elected as the President of Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) on June 30, 2014.
He was later re-elected in 2017 at the association’s fifth Triennial Delegates Conference, TDC, held in Abuja after defeating two other contestants; Mohammed Saleh and Emmanuel Eze.
Before his demise, Comrade Olabode tenure was supposed to end in 2020 which he will finish his second term of 3years.
The deceased has been described as one the vibrant employee of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) who is passionate about reforming the oil sector in Nigeria.
