Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area under the chairmanship of Mayor Dele Oshinowo has unveiled an empowerment scheme, tagged ‘We Lift’ for youths in the LCDA.
The LCDA also released the list of first batch of beneficiaries of the empowerment scheme which contains sixty names.
According to the LCDA, the scheme is geared towards progressing the unemployed to become self-determined in the pursuit of financial independence.
A statement obtained by BreezeReporters, revealed that the shortlisted trainees will be trained for minimum of six months and maximum of two years depending on the vocational skills applied for
The LCDA says it will provide Startup capital for trainees who completed the exercise, and have been certified by their trainers.
”The scheme will hold in phases to ensure all qualified applicants are well-trained.
”’Adequate monitoring will be institutionalized to ensure unserious trainees are withdrawn.” the statement said.
