Elections: Support Groups Stage Walk For Lagos APC, Preach ”Next Level” Agenda

Support groups committed to the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and other candidates of the rulling All ProgressivesCongress in Lagos on Saturday trooped to the streets in Kosofe to canvass for votes for the party in the forthcoming general elections.

The groups included Buhari Youth Organisation, Joint Action for good governance, Team Pepper Support Group, Big Daddy Support groups, among others.

The rally coincide with the fitness walk program of the Agboyi-Ketu LCDA in Kosofe area of Lagos which holds monthly to keep residents of the community fit.

Adorned in branded T’shirts, caps and party flags, members of the groups chanted of ”4+4 sure”, ”Buhari/Osinbajo” change among other party songs.

The walk which started from the Agboyi-Ketu council secretariat, Alapere touched all major areas in the local council, amongst the areas are Ketu, Mile 12, Kosofe, and Ajegunle.

Speaking on the sideline of the walk, the Chairman of the Agboyi-Ketu LCDA Dele Osinowo said the current edition of the fitness walk was special as it was to sensitize the electorates on what the APC had done and what the party intend to do if voted.

Osinowo expressed satisfaction with the huge turnout, saying it further confirm that the people love the APC and president Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking on insinuation of hunger in the land by critics of the adminstration, Osinowo said the era of free money is over, adding that as far as the APC government is concerned, people must earn what they spend.

”The era of free money is over. In the past, you have free money flowing everywhere but now we have to curtail corruption, and ensure people work for their money. That is what this government is doing” he said.

Buhari to garner over 4million votes in Lagos Alone – BYO Assures

Abdulwaheed Odunuga, Coordinator of Buhari Youth Organisation in Lagos, has assured that President Muhammadu Buhari will get over four million votes in Lagos alone in the February 16 polls.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Lagos has 6,570,291 registered voters.

Odunuga said he was confident that President Buhari will get more than four million vote in the state based on his achievement in the last four years.

”I’m confident President Buhari will get over 4 million votes in Lagos alone and i say this with all sense of responsibility.

Speaking on Mr. Buhari’s declaration that he will not approve money from the treasury to fund campaign, Odunuga said the president has made the right decision.

He said” unlike some rallies where people will be sharing money, as you can see we don’t share money here, people came out because they are passionate and happy with the Buhari administration.

He urged residents to collect their permanent voter’s card to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari and all APC candidates in the general elections.

”I want Nigerians to get their PVC and votes for credible candidates, President Muhammdu Buhari and all other APC candidates.
